Target Audience:

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants involved in the management of patients with GI disorders and chronic liver disease.

Statement of Need:

The objective of the "Best of GHAPP" Regional Meetings is to discuss an in-depth review and discussion on the latest developments and important current concepts in the multidisciplinary treatment of patients with GI disorders and chronic liver disease.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe current guidelines for the diagnosis and management of GI disorders and CLD
  • Employ an evidence-based approach to the management of GI disorders and CLD
  • Optimize treatment results for patients with CLD and GI disorders, through utilizing new therapies, and employ an evidence-based approach to the management of GI disorders
  • Identify new advances presented at recent meetings and publications, and assess their potential impact on clinical practice

ANCC Accreditation:

Annenberg Center for Health Sciences is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

A maximum of 4.0 contact hours may be earned for successful completion of this activity.

This activity is approved for 4.0 contact hours which includes 2.25 hour(s) of pharmacology. Program ID #5922.

AAPA Accreditation:

This activity has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 24 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. Approval is valid from 4/23/2021 to 6/25/2021. AAPA reference number: CME-202600.
